So you’re a little low on energy, are a vegetarian or vegan or perhaps you know you’re anaemic? Well, you should try some of this lurrrrvly tasty iron tonic.

You will need:
1kg Dried un-sulphured organic apricots
1kg Muscovado sugar/mollasses
3L Red Wine
About 10 hours you want to spend indoors.

1. Cover the apricots with water and simmer with a lid on for 6 hours

2. Add the sugar and simmer for another 2 hours (if you can’t get the temperature low enough you may need to add water to stop it sticking to the pan)

3. Allow to cool and blend it

4. Add the red wine which may need to be done over a low heat to get it to mix together

5. Add any herbal tinctures you may want, 10ml of each for every litre of liquid you end up with.

6. Bottle it up!
